Had a friend who was an internal transfer accepted into McCombs today. Also had another friend who was denied COE Kinesiology but accepted into COLA Economics as a CAP student. Don’t know either of their stats, and I myself am waiting to hear back from CNS about internal transfer for Neuro. But best of luck to everyone!
@youngcellulose did you have your pre reqs for McCombs? and a high GPA?
@UT2019 I did not have my pre reqs for McCombs. GPA was a 3.55. I wasn’t expecting to get into McCombs. Only applied so my dad would get off my back. But I’m wondering why I didn’t get into Econ.

@UT2019 Did your friend have the prerequisites completed? So McCombs did send out some rejections already?

@youngcellulose after McCombs looks at your application and don’t offer you admission , they give it to your second choice, and if Econ didn’t accept you then they offer you COLA undeclared!
@HoiCheung Yes she did have her pre reqs, and yes McCombs sent some rejections already!
@UT2019 I hope not being rejected by McCombs at this moment is a good sign.
I am computer science first choice and mathematics second choice still in the review stage.
@hookemlion504 first choice CNS math still in review here as well. I heard earlier this week that CNS internal transfers would hear back tomorrow, so I really am starting to think tomorrow is the day for us.
@Clintonwk yes, us internal transfer, plan to find out tomorrow. But the way I see is that CNS is not going to release them on time. But it’s ok.

Hey guys, I have been following this thread since the beginning, made one of the first comments on this thread, so I thought I should just drop this on here. I sadly got denied for ECE and Mathematics. I had a 3.25 (yeah definitely not a stong GPA), 71 hours, 2 awesome letters of rec from awesome professors, over 500 volunteer, 2 essays about my stocks investments+e-commerce and how being black affected me. I am kind of bummed but relieved at the same time, spent 6 months stressing over when these results would come out. Though my GPA was shit, I thought I had a shot. After not hearing from them for a good while, I just went ahead and accepted my admittance at UT Dallas (got some great scholarships there so win-win). Anywho, the wait is finally over, I rest easy and stop stressing and having nightmares about this. Good luck to all who are still waiting and sorry I wasted your time.
@karlmbagna That’s too bad, I’m so sorry! What was your GPA in mathematics courses if you don’t mind me asking?
What math classes have you taken as well, @karlmbagna? You have to have all As and Bs to get into CNS in your math and science courses.
@rach98n I’ve read the more recent reviews on Dobie and they seem to be much more positive. I called and renovations are taking place. They will be finished by the time school starts. It’s the cheapest off campus dorm, and closest to school. New furniture in every room, ripped up the carpets, new faucets for the bathrooms, improved lighting (people were complaining that the lighting was poor and it was dreary in the hallways) As for the elevators, they said leave before the rush and you won’t have to wait. If everyone leaves 10 minutes before class, all at once, of course the elevators will take a long time. Housekeeping is also included once a week. Also, many of the people who work at Dobie answering the phones are UT students. They are really friendly and will answer all your questions.
