Okay the weirdest thing happened. I was denied on yesterday, when I checked my portal tonight my screen changed. It still says denied but in the done column it previously said 10 and now it was 9. In the to do column it previously that I had nothing to do, now it says I have a transcript to submit that had already been submitted. Does anyone know what is going on? I was going to appeal my decision but I am unsure what this change in my portal means
@longhornmg I would call them. If they already have your transcript I wouldn’t appeal. Appeals are for those who had something missing on the application that was submitted but misplaced by the admissions team.

I had 2 Essays, 1 LOR from English professor.
Essays were about the way I can impact myself and society with my final degree and also about my hardships in school. I wrote about the way I was able to overcome my first semester of college (GPA at the time 1.6) and how education has always been difficult for me due to traveling (English is my 3rd language).
At the current state I am not sure if I will or will not attend at Austin, because I have already gotten everything setup at UT Dallas. Unless somehow I get to change my Undeclared(COLA) into a different major either this semester or next, so that it could aid me to pursue my main goal, Dentistry.

I wondering if there is a correlation from applications sending in that extra 3rd essay…after all it’s a holistic review process correct?
@MOTHERBOT Everyone on the list has 2 essays unless otherwise specified so I don’t think there is a correlation. Someone wrote 4 essays and was still denied
How long would they take to review our appeal request? I don’t want to wait another whole month if I got rejected.
To those that have been accepted, have you tried running a degree audit yet? It’s still not working for me. I’ve tried everything and none of my courses are being used.

@HoiCheung An appeal could take as long as August. A buddy of mine was denied last year and appealed his decision and he got the appeal back around the first week of August. He was denied again because they said that they didn’t misplace any application materials so there was nothing new to review.
