Thank you everyone, I’m so excited! I hope this means the wait isn’t too much longer for the rest of y’all
@BlueMoonArmy Wow lol I also think you mentioned the wrong person it was @cls4763 that got a decision today. I won’t get one for a while now
@cls4763 CONGRATULATIONS!!! I’m excited for you!
@chlphil thank you!
Congrats @cls4763 !
Hey guys, first time poster, I’m really nervous about admission results.
From looking at the thread it seems as though different colleges announce their results earlier/later than others. From what i’ve read, COLA is one of the first to hand out admissions. Does anyone know when Mccombs usually admits students?
Also I put Mccombs 1st, then Economics 2nd. If COLA hands out their admissions before Mccombs, does that mean if I don’t get into Mccombs, I won’t be considered for Economics? As Economics admits people before Business.
@cls4763 can you post your stats? So we can just see! Thank you and congrats!!
@bicycleclub If you click on her name, you can see her posts, her stats are her 2nd post I believe
I also got in to the College of Fine Arts today for Theatre and Dance today! Congrats @cls4763! We did it!
My stats aren’t spectacular! I had a 3.1 GPA and a recommendation letter from my community college theatre department/fine arts chair. I had two very good essays and I am a veteran as of Sept. 2015.
Good luck all!
@cocobardot congrats to a fellow CFA major
My stats weren’t great either. I have a 3.4 GPA but I did four essays, sample lesson plans, and a recommendation from my voice teacher. I also had a red from my boss at my internship which was at a theater company in ATX. I think my extracurriculars helped the most!
Hey yall, it’s a shot in the dark asking this but perhaps someone knows or has an opinion. I just moved back to Austin. I graduated hs here and took some Acc classes while in hs. I’ve been going to school in Connecticut and applied for a ut transfer. On the app it says I’m an in-state resident but I’m wondering if anyone knows, for admissions purposes, if ill be counted as an in-state transfer. I know its much harder to get in as an out of state student.
New to this. I’ve just been stalking this thread trying to see when the first letters would come out and I got mine via MyStatus today.
I’ll be a CFA student as well. Not sure which program as of yet because I applied for the BA Theatre and Dance but at the audition they asked us to apply for the BFA in Dance instead.
On my MyStatus page it says I was accepted into the BA but I wonder if that’s just because that’s what I originally applied for on MyStatus or if I was considered for both and only got into the BA. I never actually had to go and change my major myself. They said they would do that on their end.
I just sent an email to TAD Admissions to clarify.
So freakin ecstatic!!!
@broadway248 congratulations from a fellow CFA student!
@broadway248 Congratulations! So happy to see some people put out of the wait misery! Haha
@broadway248 Congrats!!!
Does anyone know if you can transfer internally to engineering during the spring semester? And also will I be able to transfer internally once I get in externally or is there a cap on how many hours you can transfer internally with?
@EncisoEngineer The general consensus at UT us that either you get the major you want externally, or don’t bother. The UT Reddit has many students who will tell you that trying an internal transfer is almost impossible, and you’re likely to end up in a liberal arts major if you try.
That is bad news. Is it the general UT subreddit or is it r/uttransfer?
@EncisoEngineer Internally transferring is definitely more competetive in comparison to externally transferring. However, it can be done. If you decide to attend UT will the goal of transferring to the major you want, you will need to work very hard to keep a pretty stellar GPA, as well as join some clubs. If you don’t want to do all that, I would advise waiting until next Fall to apply again. Internally transferring is possible, but you must maintain a good GPA
I applied late to A&M, but I think I should get into my major(automatic admit to the school in general for sure). Do you think it would be a decent idea to transfer to UT after attending A&M for a year? A&M is a great school too and that way if I enjoy A&M I can stay there too.
