in years prior, I’ve seen decisions start as early as the twelfth.
@Clintonwk Do you have any birthday plans?
@chlphil I have two major exams on the 12 and one on the 13th. So yes, plans indeed…
@Clintonwk haha that sucks, I’m going to Seaworld with my Learning Psychology class on the 13th!
I called admissions yesterday and asked when they’re releasing decisions for applicants with over 30 hours and they said they aren’t releasing them this year till late May…
@Haley23 that’s odd. When I called a few weeks ago, they didn’t have that information. A lot is dependent on what college you’ve applied to. I applied in January and if the wait is really that long…I just have a hard time believing they would be coming that late.
IIRC the admissions office is infamous for giving out contradictory answers to this question in the past. I don’t think they actually know as it is up to the specific college, and I highly doubt they’ll wait until late May to start releasing decisions.
Ugh I sure hope you’re right. I can’t wait till late May
I submitted my application around january 18th, and in mid february, I called the admissions office and asked when I could expect a decision to be released. And she asked how many hours I had and then she said around May 1st. So I really think it is a shot in the dark. I honestly think decisions will be released next week on wednesday because that it was the forums from last year showed. Unfortunately, I do not think my decision will be released then because I haven’t found much evidence on when Kinesiology major (education) decisions are released
I’m beginning to wonder if there was any benefit to applying in January rather than closer to the deadline… A 3 month wait and counting.
I seem to recall in past years that the time of application submission has no effect on when decisions are released. I remember reading once that someone didn’t even have all materials submitted until March 30, and was among the first to receive a decision on April 8.
I hope some decisions come out on the 8th then lol
I just got accepted into the BFA Theatre Studies major in the College of Fine Arts! I’m freaking out right now y’all!!! I hope everyone’s decision comes soon - I just checked mine on a whim today!
@cls4763 Congrats! Are you international
@chlphil I applied to CS, so it’s coming in June… of 2018.
@Haley23 nope! I’m from Boston and thank you!
So it seems College of Fine Arts is first to the table. Congrats, @cls4763!
Also, is MyStatus down for anyone else? I’m getting “Bad Gateway” and I’ve tried multiple access methods.
Probably because as soon as CLS4763 announced she got in, all 500 people from here immediately checked their status! LOL, just kidding, ours works fine.
@cls4763 CONGRATS!!
