I have a coworker who was accepted to CS on Wednesday with a 3.88
Everyday that passes by I get more and more pessimistic about getting in for mechanical or civil engineering
@clintonwk really? Your coworker must have excellent essays and… required courses
FYI, my cousin admitted ME today with 3.67
@ptklll what?!? I have a 3.83 and nothing yet :-S
Thanks for letting us know. And grats to your cousin. Hopefully I join him or her :((
Has everyone put down a Housing deposit? My son didn’t and I’ve been hearing that housing is already full.
(We didn’t want to submit one until we knew that he was actually accepted)
@NosyParent16 I like that you’re username is owning it. Anyways I’m sure space will clear up in June as people find out they didn’t get in or find better leasing deals in the community. Worse case worse, Dobie is never full from what I hear. Yeah people hate it but it’s literally the next best thing to an on campus dorm… it practically is on campus.
@NosyParent16 What was your son accepted for?
@ReverseCremation Sorry, I didn’t make that too clear. He’s still waiting on a decision like everyone else.
Oh nice! Yeah I looked at 2014 and 2015 and they all heard back in June
Hey guys, does anyone know anything about UT revoking an admissions decision? I applied with 30 hours and got in but my grades aren’t going to be as good this semester, is it possible that they’d do that?
@Chilldude22 What does your admissions letter/email say about grades for the spring semester?
What kind of grades do you have?
@Chilldude22 Admissions don’t get revoked unless you do something particularly bad. Your grades would have to be pretty horrible for them to revoke your admission. Are you going to have multiple Ds or Fs?
No nothing too drastic just a C I’m worried about. Absolute worst case scenario my GPA goes from a 3.5 to a 3.4 or 3.3.
So since I applied with 40 hours, my status doesn’t say anything about my grades this semester
It’s just kinda scary xD probably should’ve taken this semester more seriously.
Hi all, I am going to be applying for transfer admission next year. From this August, I will be attending Texas A&M. My goal is to transfer to UT CNS for either biology or biochemistry. Aside from good grades, is it beneficial to include that I performed an independent research project over radiation oncology and will be doing an internship with an oncologost over the summer? Also, I will be going to India this christmas break to do an international internship with a urologist. Is it worth adding these things in my resume? Anyone know what else CNS really likes?
Is it true that intl applicants wont get their decision until mid May as indicated on the website?
@BladeX yes I’m thinking that the majority of us won’t hear anything until mid May.
