Hey guys, anyone know off the top their head, when final transcripts are due for sub-30 credit hours and over 30 hours?
@Newsie2015 I transfered into McCombs undeclared (you declared once you got accepted into the business school) . I also applied to the integrated MPA program, which I was admitted to a few weeks after being accepted to McCombs.
For those who applied to McCombs, did y’all choose Unspecificed Business (transfer)?
New to this thread, and to the whole site. Kind of… Been lurking without an account for a while. I’m happy to see that I’m not the only one anxiously awaiting an answer. UT is my dream school and although I know I can’t get into McCombs due to not having Calc II, I’m still hopeful for my 2nd choice, Communications at Moody. Crossing my fingers we hear something soon!
@kisforconstant – under 30 hours is due June 1
Yeah if we haven’t heard by now, I’m pretty sure we’re gonna get rejected. Who are we trying to lie to?
For the ones above 30 hrs
Can someone chance me. I’ve never done this before.
CAP student
Major: RTF
GPA: 3.63 (but by tonight it might be a 3.7)
(I got a B in Spanish, math and (maybe) TX poli Sci)
URM, female
Transferring from UT-Arlington
I had a LOC from my boss. I’m a server. My newspaper advisor gave me a LOC and submitted it, but it was after the deadline.
I worked a lot so I never had much time for ECs but I did participate in creative writing club and lead/founded a very successful fundraiser for a recent national news worthy tragedy.
My resume was very nice and visually attractive. I added somethings on to it to make it more personal (my career bucket list, an about me and my life motto). I did A LOT of high school ECs and that is listed on there too.
My essays were pretty good. They weren’t amazing but better than average. I wrote about how I wanted to not be a statistic and that I wanted to open up doors for other women and minorities as a film director. In my other essay I wrote about how I used to think acting and writing were lame until I realized how I could change the world with it and use it as my form of artistic expression.
@ayylmao12 why would you even say that? lol. loads of people got accepted last year in June if you check the thread. what major did you apply to?
My post should say LOR not LOC
Do y’all know if anyone has been accepted to Moody outside of the people on this thread? I’m curious to know if Moody has even started sending out decisions yet.
@prospectivehorn2 no one this thread has gotten acceptances from Moody. Someone called and said that Moody applications will find out by end May
UT’s Admissions Twitter page said that generally speaking, those with 30+ hours will hear back sooner than those with less than 30 hours.
@Newsie2015 thanks for the info! And @kafooxd looks like they responded to my tweet lol
@ecollin Hey man, I know they’re trying to discourage internally transferring, but I feel like my only shot at getting into mccombs is starting fresh on a new GPA at UT’s Liberal Arts school. I went ahead and applied for COLA undeclared and I will be working very very hard for the next year to obtain a 4.0 in order to transfer to Mccombs. Currently I only have a ~3.4 GPA at ACC from messing up this semester and taking too many classes. Do you have any advice?
I know 3 other people not on this thread that applied to Moody and haven’t got any decisions yet. I called again yesterday and was told that Mid to Late May for most decisions to be released. I guess we will see lol.
@BladesofGlory I applied to Moody for journalism and I’m so anxious lolol
