if you do not get an on campus job in the fall, is it impossible to find one come spring?

Also, what are the requirements of an on-campus job? Like…whats the minimum hours you must work a week?

And would you find a job that allowed you to work just on the weekends, or had you rather work during the week?

All of these things vary from school to school. I’m sure there’s some people that had jobs on campus in the fall that had to quit due to taking a heavier load, graduating, or for a variety of other reasons. Minimum hours depends on the job and the school. My old roommate used to tutor through the school and only had to work 2-4 hours a week depending on how many students he wanted to handle. Other friends worked night-shifts as desk attendants and racked up over 20 hours (often times sleeping while on the job when they weren’t supposed to).

You can always try to get a job in a research lab. Then you get research experience, a possible recommendation for a job/grad school, flexible hours, and some money.
