Penn State typically does not rescind offers unless you no longer meet the requirements for the major for which you applied. IN GENERAL, all they care about is that you graduated. They don’t consider senior year grades at all and I think that means good grades OR bad grades. However, if you fail a class (say a calc class) your senior year that was needed for your admission to a specific major (such as engineering), then yes, they can rescind the offer. So if you are failing an AP class that was needed, then you are likely in trouble. If not, then “probably” not (no one can tell you for absolutely sure - we can only tell you based on previous years).
The 2.9 comment is definitely misleading because it is almost unheard of for a non athlete, non recruited student to get into UP with a 2.9. I’m not saying it doesn’t happen, but it’s really unusual when it does.
