When do we find out about the SSA scholarships from the Honors College?

In previous years students found out in February and March. I don’t know when the final decisions are made for some of the larger scholarships such as the Well’s and Cox scholarships, but the SSA decisions are typically sent out after these are sent out.

^Wells is unconnected to the SSA. It requires nomination in the fall.

Hutton typically sends out awards including the Metz scholarship($4K IS and $6K OOS) around 2/25.

Kelley and Wells scholarship committee typically announce awards 1-2 weeks after interview. Cox scholars also have to be interviewed.

I called the scholarship office last week and they said February or March. It would be nice to know before you put down room deposit, but we won’t.

Interviews for the Cox scholarship last year were notified sometime in March, please remember to check your IU email vigilantly for contact from any scholarship information, do NOT rely on your regular personal email. Interviews are often within a couple of weeks and notification took place shortly afterwards in April and very early May.

I would not wait for room deposit. You should be applying for housing as soon as it becomes available, check it for opening every day it might be open for a few days before you get an actual notice that it is open. The date/time of your housing application will affect your housing choice significantly, the earlier the better. If you do not enroll you will lose only $100, the rest you will get back. (at least last years was that way, check the housing application). It is worth the $100 to secure yourself an early housing application (the sooner you do the better your chance of getting one of your top choices in neighborhoods/LLCs).

If you have not paid enrollment deposit can you set up email?
