Has anyone with experience with the Upper Level SSAT found that their child’s SAT scores were accurately predicted by either the SSAT Predicted Range or the SSAT Estimated National Percentile? Thanks in advance.

You may get some feedback on this if you post in the Prep School forum since most there took SSAT.

My D was in the 98th percentile for the SSAT when she took it in 8th grade. First time she took the SAT (as a jr) she was in the 97th percentile. Second time she took SAT (as a sr) she was in the 99th percentile.

So, yes there was a correlation.

Absolutely no correlation for me. I think my score was in 75 percentile SSAT. I am in the 2300 range 99+ percentile.

I cannot remember percentiles, but my scores were fairly close: SSAT - 2340. SAT - 2370 superscore (two sittings).

Still, I don’t believe the SSAT is an accurate indicator of future SAT performance. Or rather, if I’m recalling my SSAT clearly (it’s been three or four years, so things may have changed), the report was very vague. It predicted I’d score between 680 - 800 for SAT CR, which is a very large range–so large that it’s practically useless.
