SSAT Official Online Practice Tests

Am I missing something? My dc took one of the official online practice tests, but I don’t see any sort of score anywhere… it shows with he got wrong, etc., which is great, but a rough idea of a score would be really helpful…

no, they don’t do scores, you can find a grade scale online though.

I’m so glad you mentioned this!
We are about to take one here too.

So @Mercurrii what you are saying is you find out how many you got wrong and then you calculate yourself what that would translate to in terms of the SSAT score/percentile?

yeah, in fact,

here’s the one I used

http://www.sanlieducation.com.hk/upper-level-ssat-percentile-ranks-chart-8th-grade-girls-top-end/

it’s a little higher but you like get the gist

Oh wow @Mercurrii ! This is super helpful! Did you find this to be a (relatively) accurate predictor of results? My daughter’s practice scores are way higher than we were guessing. (I did make sure to include the penalty for wrong answers – which I at first left out and then it was REALLY high. oops). But still, higher than we thought, which is good news since the test is in a week!

@Calliemomofgirls How do I say this, yes, but also a bit of no?

the practice test on the websites was a little harder on and Verbal quantitative for me, but something I’ve seen a lot is people (including me) do well on the practice then score a bit worse on reading (oops)

and the percentages are a bit higher as well, for example, I got 2187 which would be in the 90s range on that chart but the actual percentage I got was an 88.
it’s only like 1-2% though so shouldn’t be a lot if ur D is doing well tho then she’d be good

Thx @Mercurrii for the info.

Her weakest is definitely vocab/analogies. Studying those words lists seems so random and inefficient and like a shot in the dark — just hoping the words you studied are on the test!
Any words (ha!) of wisdom on the vocab/analogies?

@Calliemomofgirls for sure!
I suffered on analogies and words as well. (6 wrong on vocab and 9 on analogies) but studying with as many lists as you can really helps. One thing I found out though was that they used SAT words more, several of the words I studied the morning of, in fact, showed up on my test!

here are 3 Quizlets I use the most and they really helped

(the third one is the SAT one)

Thx! She has used the second one. You liked the third one better? (SAT?)

Can I also get sites to improve my maths scores

I think the practice tests are A LOT harder than the real one. I took a practice test but I only scored 2212, while the real one I scored 2352 with no prep in between.
