You should be looking at your overall score compared to other SSAT takers, not your national score. You should find that score just below your individual scores (I think–it’s been a while since I looked). If that overall score is 90% or thereabouts, you’re probably fine. Math percentages are often quite low even though the actual scores are high because of all the mathy types who don’t get anything wrong. Your reading is a bit low though, especially considering your 99% verbal.

94% is fine–don’t worry about it. You probably have close to a 700 on the math, right? The percentiles are totally skewed by the number of perfect scorers. The reading thing is just strange, considering your good verbal–I wonder if you just missed something–but, again, I don’t think it’ll make much difference.

That’s a relief! Yes, all of my scores are above 700. And yes, I feel the same way–I really don’t understand how I got so many wrong on reading, it’s usually my strong point…

Your scores are fine, a 94% is definitely in the area that Andover and Choate officials are looking for, and the straight A’s are certainly a help.

However, SSAT scores aren’t everything - I got a 97% overall last year, and had excellent EC’s and interviews, but I had 2 B’s and my math teacher disliked me, and I didn’t get into Andover.

Just be confident and I’m sure you’ll do fine! =]
