All 7th and 8th grade grades are A+/A/A- with one B+ subject
What does this do for me? I know admissions processes are so holistic, and take into account so much more than grades and ssat, and that they’re only a bit, but does this give me a leg up or down, does it makes me more or less competitive?
My guess would be that you’ll be seen as plenty capable of the intellectual / academic components. And it’s the other pieces - extracurriculars, essays, recommendations, interviews - that will determine whether you’re seen as a “fit” for each school. Good luck and keep us posted!
What strikes you as most interesting about this list? Cause every time I give it people say that it’s odd or interesting. Or just any thoughts you have on it?
These are all wonderful schools. They are very different groupings of schools. Hopefully you have had a chance to visit them and / or have at least started to identify what you want from this next chapter of your life. I think the bigger question would be what are you looking for and why did you pick the varying schools. There are clearly schools not on your list and others that tend not to be on the same lists. Each school offers something unique. I think it is important to cast a wide net to see what you really want. But, if you were to get into all, what are you looking for?
