Hey everyone,
I recently got my SSAT scores:
- Total: 2100 (69th percentile)
- Verbal: 683 (64th percentile)
- Quantitative: 791 (95th percentile)
- Reading: 626 (30th percentile)
I’m not a native English speaker, so I struggle a bit with the reading section. I’ve been working on improving my vocabulary, which helped my verbal score, but my reading score is still lower. I’m very good at programming and math. Additionally, I have strong recommendations from my teachers and principal.
I’m applying to Phillips Exeter Academy, and I’m wondering if they might consider that I’m not a native speaker when they look at my reading score. Do you think that could be a factor in their decision? What do you think my chances are with this in mind?
Thanks for any advice!
