<p>Hey everyone, I’ve been reading about SSP and I’ve decided to apply to the Westmont session.</p>

[</em>] Junior year Course Load: AP Calc AB, AP Physics B, AP Stats, AP US Gov, AP Micro/Macro Econ, IB English HL, French 3 (selfing Physics C, also planning to take calc II at local university in may-june, before ssp)

<p>I think my writing is pretty good but I don’t feel comfortable evaluating it.</p>

<p>Thoughts? I know it is very competitive, so don’t pull any punches.</p>

<p>If you want to explain the B’s from ninth grade, you can ask your counselor to send them a letter if you didn’t already mention it in the application materials.</p>

<p>Being from Alaska might also give you an edge. Possibly. (I know some programs might consider geographic diversity of applicants if a decision is close, but that’s not too common.)</p>

<p>Chancing is difficult for most candidates of your caliber because after a point, the stats begin to look the same, and what makes students stand out are the recs and essays. In my opinion, you are a strong candidate, but I’m not very familiar with the SSP application evaluation process.</p>

<p>I’m jealous that your school has a laughter club.</p>
