SSP for Advanced Standing?

Hello people,

I will be attending Harvard next fall, and I have a question about Advanced Standing. The website I found states that 4 full credits earned by getting 5’s on certain AP exams count toward eligibility. But what about courses taken through Harvard’s own SSP Summer Program? During the summer of 2005, I took two courses and earned A’s. Will that contribute to getting Advanced Standing? Thanks in advanced for your help.

Yes, as long as the’re courses that Harvard will count towards degree requirements. There are a few summer school courses, however, that Harvard does not count towards degree requirements. Check the course descriptions at http://summer.harvard.edu. Typically, you need to petition the Ad Board to have these courses added to your college record.

Thanks for your response. So, should I send my summer transcript to Harvard? lol

I’m pretty sure Harvard has your summer transcript if you took courses there…
