Hi. Does anyone know if the St Andrews personal statement (essay) has to focus only on the chosen area of study? In other words, does everything I write about have to been linked to how I am qualified to study the chosen major? It is this way with Kings College. I want to write to St Andrews the same as I would to my other US schools but of course, I want to get it right. Help.
Hey mate, I’m not sure if you still need an answer… Yes you do need to link everything to your chosen major, and spend way more time talking about the subjects you want to study than your extra curriculars (they really don’t mean much to UK universities). Hope this helps!
