I see on their website that SJC’s summer program takes rising sophomores, but that most students are rising jrs and seniors.
Anyone have experience with this? Would a rising soph be comfortable at SJC summer program, or too immature? Not worried about academic chops but socially, whether they’d fit in. This kid doesn’t typically hang with an older crowd. It is an inclusive, supportive environment? Appreciate any insight, thanks.
My son did that program (and is now a sophomore at SJC). I’d wait - it’s definitely an older crowd, with most kids assessing whether they’d Ike an entire 4 yr experience like that.
If your son does program and then enrolls at SJC, he’ll receive $2k/year scholarship. The program does a decent job of showcasing what school is like.
