For the question “If you were to come to St. Paul’s, tell us the one thing you would be most excited about? And where might you need support? (3 to 4 sentences)” Does it mean that the whole response would be 3 to 4 sentences or the areas of support part to be 3 to 4 sentences?
Whole thing. Think of it as a short answer question instead of an essay.
Um. Alright. Just to make sure, how do you know that it is 3-4 sentences?
Why don’t you call the school if you want a definitive answer you are going to trust?
It says 3-4 sentences. Not 3-4 sentences each. Sheesh.
Are you wondering because it says 3000 characters?
yea, it is 3000 characters, so I am not sure
Never mind the default character count. Just follow the instructions.
But it is interesting that they called that one an Essay, while the three longer ones were called Short Answers.
It’s Gateway that calls it that way, not the school; these are Gateway default designations. The school only provides the questions and the instructions for answering them.
If you check the application form on the SPS website, without going through Gateway, you will not find “short answers” or “essay” designations, just questions: https://sps.myschoolapp.com/ftpimages/36/download/Candidate%20Personal%20Statement.pdf
And a very clear instruction to answer the last question in 3-4 sentences.
