St. Paul's School Concord NH

Intro to photo is a great class, but you need to take fine arts foundations before you can take that one…Because you are going to be a 5th former, you can take it for a term, then intro in the winter, if it is offered then.
I would not take a science class, it kind of depends on what you have credit for from your old school. taking six classes, especially as a new 5th former would be VERY demanding.
if you reallly really realllly wanted to take six classes, you could take five classes, then credit music,& you would still have two free blocks a week. but it technically counts as six classes.

Or could I just take art classes in the sixth form and only take 4 classes as a fifth former? Would anybody recommend that? How would taking only 4 classes look to a college? Should I take some science electives ontop of those 4 classes?

Why don’t you email R. Colbert with these questions?

Because I want to hear from students what the curriculum is like. Also he is the lacrosse coach and as such I email him with lacrosse questions.

Lax, he is much more than just a lax coach. He is a teacher, my son’s dorm master, my son’s adviser, and lax & asst football coach. He would , I’m sure, love to chat with you about your schedule next year. And, have a bit more insight into the curriculum than students might.

I suppose you’re right. However he appears to be extremely busy around this time of year. I have sent him a couple different emails and it seems as if he has so many to return that it is hard to get around to mine. Either way I have pretty much settled on a schedule and won’t really be needing much more assistance.

How hard is Latin 1? I signed the card for Latin but I was thinking of mabye doing German instead? Does anybody have any insight on these two language programs at SPS.

Frau Hornor is wonderful! Really truly wonderful! She is also the head of the Language Department. My son is in his 4th year of German. This week they have some exchange students with them from Leipzig. Last year the German class went there for a week. If it means anything to you, her brother-in-law is Yo-Yo Ma. She says it is the largest language program at SPS.

On the other hand, the Rector was my Latin teacher.

(Arabic may possibly be added in the future).

I’m taking latin. Supposedly it is very helpful on the SAT’s. I’ve already taken them but I know I can do better so I figured a year of Latin couldn’t hurt.

I’ve been doing Latin for two years, and I looove it! I highly reccommend it! I’m going to take it at SPS.

I know that at least Laxislife will want this: https://www.sps.edu/podium/default.aspx?t=52562</a> There are photos of boys and girls lacrosse versus Middlesex, and softball versus Middlesex.

Monday’s chapel reports also noted that on Sunday, 13 students went to Exeter for an Ultimate Frisbee game. They said:*** “It was a long game and finally had to come to a halt at 15 all. Notable performances included an amazing catch by Luke DeWilde in the end zone after the frisbee bounced off two Exeter PGs.”***
Hmmmm, amused that they noted that they were PG’s.

i would like them as well hahaha
