St. Paul's School Concord NH

yeah^ wickedcrazy i saw that…

@creative1- where did you see this?? lol

Oops - wrong link. That’s the old dress code from last year in the Student Handbook. Sorry for the confusion.

Here’s the latest, revised dress code which reflect changes voted on by faculty:

http://www.sps.edu/ftpimages/36/download/W_What%20you%20need_Dress%20Code.pdf</a></p>

ooh, cool. Though are you sure jeans are allowed? It doesn’t say they aren’t, but it doesn’t say they are either. I hope they are!

Blue jeans aren’t allowed, but colored ones are. js

Yes, blue jeans are now allowed. This is a new change. It doesn’t specifically state blue jeans as I don’t think they are trying to actively encourage it but it definitely is no longer disallowed. This comes from reliable sources.

yay! this makes me so happy.

Hmmm… I don’t know if I like that.

I’m actually a little shocked at this and am wondering if it is just a mistake. St. Paul’s has always had such a passion of abiding by the no blue jeans policy. Did somebody actually inform you of this creative or did you just see it on the website?

Yes hockeykid it is true. Faculty voted at the end of the year and decided on it. I was a bit surprised since it was never an issue before.

I don’t know, obviously most of the student body wanted the ability to wear jeans but I also talked to a lot of faculty who didn’t like the no-jeans policy, either. Ehh, it honestly doesn’t surprise me that much.

All of the new third formers have came out on the online directory. The pictures are not up yet though. I don’t know when those will be on it?

Most likely after the school year starts right? I’m assuming they didn’t request headshots of all accepted third formers.

All faces come out August 1st, even the third formers.

“Leggings and/or yoga-type pants may be worn only
under a skirt or tunic”

AHAHAHAHAHAHA
finally. someone needed to say it

I never minded hahaha

I’ll be sorry to see them go

Agreed oldgold. Leggings are not pants. Virtually every girl at my school wears leggings and uggs during the winter. AHHHH. It’s a nightmare.

I’m going to an IB school next year for 9th grade and wondering if I should transfer into SP or Exeter or Andover or something. Advice?

I think this is the wrong thread to ask that in but it would probably also help if you gave some information about yourself.

Well the foundation is being poured for the new Math/Science center. https://www.sps.edu/podium/default.aspx?t=204&nid=552834</a> Everything is on track for it to open in September of 2011. It will be truly amazing! The new athletic fields will take a year before they can be used, but the new road should be open.

On a separate note, new records were set for every category of fundraising. The alumni and the parents each gave more to the Annual Fund than ever in history and each had higher participation rates than ever in history. Oh and SPS participation rates are higher than any of our peer schools. So big blue A… you may chase us on participation but catching us is more difficult! (a reference to a postcard they sent to all their alums last year. they hate being #3)

Not only has all the money for the Math-Science center been raised, but endowment will also increase significantly with a new campaign (something SPS has not done in decades). All of this is good for current and future students.
