We are considering St. Sebastian’s for our son for 7th grade. It is not a boarding school; much like Belmont Hill, BB&N, and RL, it is a day school. It does compete in the ISL (Independent School League) with a number of highly prestigious boarding schools in the Boston area.

Any impressions/reviews of this school would be very helpful.

We had a very good friend attend St. Sebastians and his father was depressed. My own son got into an exceptional college going to the Public School and the two boys were good friend and academic competitors in Middle SChool. My good friend was taken in by all the salesmanship of St Sebastian’s and ended up going to a C level college in Massachusetts. Has this been the experience with others because at one time I gave serious consideration about sending my son there and in retrospect, made the right decision. My friend told me St Sebastian has little interest in academics and their only goal is to produce athletes to win the ISL.
