How hard? do you really use a lot of calc 3?
Is taking these 2 courses summer A and then summer B too much?

may I ask what you will be taking it for (and so quickly)?
actuarial science minor?

yes its a calculus probability course, calc 3 material will be used to solve double integral problems for integrating under regions…i am assuming you took it already since you ask…somehow this applies to probability…once again finding area over a distribution region.
basically multivariate PDF, you can relate to this if youve every taken basic statistics and your asked to find area under probability distro, such as a normal curve.

I know a few people who took the course before, me i’ve only read a book from the library on it, and I never finished it so I can’t get very specific as someone who studied all night for it. thats only concerning the sta 4321, as for sta4322 I am not familiar with the material.

edit: sorry i might have mislead you a bit, the multivariate distributions is only a chapter in the class…other topics are taught that do not require difficult calc…just number crunching
the class will touch on combinatorics…or rather ‘counting rules’, bayes…and the calculus will kick in half way through the class.

I knew one guy who attended college long time ago, (stat4321 was required for math deg.) and he says he decided to change to math minor from major because of this, but that guy i didn’t know him to well, might be lazy…CALC 3 is a much harder class, if you got past that just fine…=)
