<p>Hi all!
I’m applying ED and I’m sending a stage design supplement. On Wesleyan’s SlideRoom page, they asked me to pick a concentration, so I picked set design. Right now, all of the things in my portfolio are set design related, and I’m very proud of them. HOWEVER, I have done some lighting design work and there’s one video of a dance I did lighting design for that I’m really proud of. I think the design’s really strong and I’d love to include it.
My fear is that they’ll think I can’t follow directions or specifically choose to ignore them, and it’ll hurt my chances at Wes.</p>
<p>If my concentration is explicitly not lighting design, am I allowed to include that one video? Is it worth sending at all? </p>
<p>Is anyone else submitting a portfolio of any sort and if so, how focused is it? </p>
