We’re out of town for the weekend, so will not know if the envelope (fat or thin) arrives at Dizzy-house, but I am checking in as often as possible to see how the rest of you are faring.

Whatever you need, whether it be congrats or comfort, I’m here to provide it virtually, whatever that’s worth. I feel like I have 60+ kids to worry about instead of just one…

Spyder – you are the king of the deferred, you realize! You will heretofore wear the crown and all the other deferred must bow down to you because you reported first. (Trying very hard to see the bright side here!)

I’m going to guess that location/gender/ethnicity could have been minor chinks in your armor, so remember that it’s not about YOU, it’s only about you in an impersonal sense. There’s a great thread on the parents’ forum about the survivors of last year’s “Yale Massacre” and how they all went on to either be accepted in the end or went on to other schools where they are EXTREMELY happy right now. (Play this back to me if Dizzy-son is in the same position…)

Here, have a marshmallow sandwich…and another…as many as you’d like. Wash it down with some hot cocoa, tuck yourself in with a cashmere throw and roll your favorite movie. A little escape from all this for the afternoon, okay?

ilcapo – you could always just snort the marshmallows; see how many you can get up your nose to pass the time – no blood sugar problems that way and it might reduce the nerves!
