Where did you see that?? I thought the rate was similar to RD applicants (a little above 10%). Once we are deferred the just see us as regular applicants, right?

AHHHH! i got a fat package via priority mail!!! i almost died!!! it was for my mom!!! AHHHHHHHHHH!!!

yeah when I opened my mailbox I saw this big box…it was for my parents…then i saw the small, thin letter…

Foreverzero, so sorry – it’s a lot harder to take when you have history on your side. I’ve been told that while clarinet or viola can be very useful, piano is not viewed similarly – I guess because it doesn’t fill a ‘slot’ in an orchestra the way an oboist or bassoonist might? Clearly there is no less talent or effort expended and most likely more of the latter, since pianists generally begin training earlier than other musicians.

We have no stats to support it, but I wonder if, with deferrals like yours, we might be seeing an increase in URM over ORM admissions, since that does appear to be a special interest of the new admissions head.

Remember, this is not a rejection of YOU, of who you are – your accomplishments are amazing and will be undoubtedly appreciated either in RD at Pton or by another school where you will be equally happy. I promise!!!

Is very, very distracted… distracts self by trying to catch the thrown marshmallows in her mouth while hopping around in tune

Your post to Foreverzero, dizzymom - you are seriously the nicest person ever. I love having a board mum. gives hug I have my fingers crossed for your son…

aww, shucks. We need Cookiemom to get in here with her apron, too. If ever there was a time for room-moms, this is it!!!

We are gone for the weekend, and we live in a somewhat rural area that makes our mail a day later than even the rest of our community, so Dizzy-son is going to be one of the later ones to hear. I have to say, I have my concerns for him based on what I’m seeing here. Such amazing candidates being deferred!

On the other hand, if he doesn’t get in, at least I don’t have to worry about him being corrupted by ilcapo, right? hehehe

lol hehehe
we love you dizzymom =)

hahah dizzymom! i thought you blissfully ignored my “corrupting” posts! im so embarassed hahaha
