yep, you will need a bike to get around campus.

To jimonthewall: Stanford is one of the most diverse schools in the world.

I never said the campus at Stanford’s not diverse. It just seems that there’s a lot of people who live in a bubble. They may think they’re worldly, but they lived in suburbs and went to private schools their whole life. I’m sure it’s not the majority, but from what I’ve seen and heard from people who have been to Stanford, it’s quite a prevalent mindset.

I mean for chrissake, the campus is at the end of a long palm tree-lined drive that opens up to a street of high-end shops.

And I’m not really slamming Stanford. It’s a beautiful campus. I’m glad tuitions free for a lot of people, and that’s the main reason I applied. I know there’s going to be plenty of cool, different people. Just saying there’s a lot of yuppies.

I understand the stress many applicants are under at this stage in their life. It is human nature to tell yourself that big prize you want so bad is really not all that great just in case you don’t get it. That’s fine.

But really, there is nothing wrong with palm trees, there is nothing wrong with kids who lived in the suburbs, and there is nothing wrong with some kids going to private school.

No one has done the countdown in awhile
16 days, 19 hours…

Here is my question, Stanford clearly will give out admissions decisions when they are done, which is exemplified through their SCEA release date that was almost a week before their intended release date.

If they were planning to release the date earlier, what website would they announce it on??

It would be posted on the Stanford website under the admissions announcements/news

I’m guessing they’ll just email everyone if decisions come out earlier

To distract you, please visit:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/stanford-university/800082-stanford-2014-sceaers.html

It gets good around the 100th page :)

Oh, and they don’t email you if decisions come out earlier. At least not for SCEA. They just put it on their website like 2 seconds before they sent out decisions.

Good luck!

13 days!

10char

Efffffff. I feel like I can’t wait anymore! AHHHHHH! :-P

Oh my goodness! 12 days everyone =0

Don’t worry don’t worry! But try not to read them again…haha, it will just freak u out and results are coming so soon there is no need for more stress…

HOW DID WE GET HERE SO QUICKLY? i feel like yesterday we were saying that there were only 2 more months left! ***!?!?

it’s not going quickly! senior year is taking so long to go by

This month has lagged on, especially. I feel like the countdown has been suck on ~12 days for a week now. >_>

+1. It feels like just yesterday when I was in your guy’s shoes. I wish I would’ve wrote a letter to myself to remember what it felt like.

It felt so long when it was right after I submitted my college application, then it felt so short when it was the time I forgot about it. And now that the date is coming up, the days are passing by slowly as my anxiety builds up.

+1 for this one!

wow the acceptance rate is only 5% (exc;uding the waitlist)
