Trial of Love

I met this girl from Tuskegee
Who filled my heart with so much glee
After a fateful kiss one day
I proposed to her and she said yay

Our marriage had one stumbling block
My job forced me to work around the clock
This meant no time to spend with my wife
So she yearned for a more intimate life

She went to the mall one summer afternoon
While singing a beautiful tune
A handsome lad heard her lovely voice
And asked her out to a place of her choice
At first she politely declined
But kept his number just in case she changed her mind

She decided to head home and contemplate
On whether she should go on this date
I came back home one early night
She used this time to speak of her plight
“It’s been months since we’ve done a thing in bed”
“This empty feeling I want to shed!”
I snorted and grunted like a burly gruff
and said " I bring home the bacon, isn’t that enough?"
This reply caused her to get annoyed
Since it was a refusal to fill her void

Disgruntled with my lack to understand
She decided to go on the date with that man
The food was great and the dance was nice
He offered her to come to his house and engage in a vice

She said she couldn’t because she’s married
The man said this to get her thought buried
“Obviously he doesn’t fulfill your burning desire”
“Let me instead put out your fire”
She was about to acquiesce his reply
Then she thought of her husband on the fly
'Till Death do we part" she agreed to swear
This sin she did not want to bear

She came back home when the clock struck ten
And saw her husband sitting in the den
He ran to her and began to apologize
For not being able to realize
“I’m so sorry and now I know”
“That our level of intimacy has to grow”
She responded with a phrase of tact
“Let’s go to bed and engage in more contact”

That night after emptying their jeroboam
They did things too hot to describe in this poem
So the moral of this short story
Show love to your spouse to prevent infidelity!

what a lovely poem.

and yes, chicken essay. i saved its life and made it sound like i was doing surgery on it

i like the poem

Haha it was a cute poem.

My mom did CPR on a chihuahua once.

chihuahua o____o i hate those things.

i have a golden retriever and quaker parakeet. and they’re both really good friends.

You have a bird and a dog??? I don’t have any pets because my mom doesn’t like them…lol my teacher made me redo that poem assignment not because it was bad but because it was too suggestive and this one Mormon kid complained. But it ended up getting published in our school magazine.

So new topic: what’s pets do you guys have?

Two golden retrivers, for me!

Dogs are the bomb. Agreed?

i’m so sad. the UC site is hella lagging

yeah I prefer dogs over cats. btw are you guys going to do Prussia’s pledge thing?

4 dogs! Chocolate Lab, Pit bull, english bulldog, jack russell terrier.

i had 4 cockatiels but that was when i was a kid. they died from old age :'[

aww thats’ sad diglett, so what’s your favorite kind of food to eat when you guys eat out (ex. Italian, Chinese, Indian, Japanese, etc.)

lol I shouldn’t keep changing questions but finished reading Lord of the Flies today, and that book was a little brutal. So my question is Do you think things would have been any different if it was all girls on the island instead of guys?

I have two dogs. A dingo mix and aforementioned chihuahua.

I love Italian food!

Hmm, no, I don’t think it would have been different, really. Girls can get nasty, too.

I think if girls had been on the island, the girls would have killed themselves instead of killing each other.

Girls will mess with each other’s heads until the other person is so depressed they see no point in living.

Jack Russell Terriers are the best dogs ever. I have a JRT mix (we’re mutt lovers generally speaking) right now and she is the best dog a person could ask for. She’s four, but she has soft puppy fur, loves to play, and still smells like a puppy.

@collegeguy2014, why don’t you ever post? This was your thread idea, and from what you’ve said, you visit this thread a lot. But yes, we did win The Yale Wars. You should be proud.

Hahaha,
