Stanford 2014 SCEAers

@redjar: I feel the same way :(

Any other acceptances?!

Accepted! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Bye guys I love you I’m not going to post anymore but I might read this thread for a little while longer. Bye!

ACCEPTED!!! soo happy/relieved. i would run outside and dance, but i have the flu so that would be unintelligent. anyways, i still can’t believe it

congrats to everyone accepted!

Wow, congrats guys!

deferred 10char

Rejected… aw, I was hoping for at least deferred. Guess I better start on the rest of the apps now. Redjar said it perfectly. This stinks :(

edit:// Wait, except for those who got in!!! My wallowing-in-my-own-misery temporarily subsided, and I realized that some people got in. Hahaha congrats guys!!

Deferred :confused:
I’m ambivalent.
Part of me would have preferred to know my fate and just been rejected outright.
But then the other part of me realizes I still have a 10% chance of getting in.

I’m not gonna lie—glad I’m applying RD. EA decisions seem brutal! one 2400 deferred & other qualified students. Guess it shows that Stanford really does use a more holistic approach…

oh, i just saved my rejection letter. i will use it as an inspiration to prove to Stanford that they made a mistake not selecting me cries
im a yale legacy, so i guess i have to settle with yale for RD…
i still feel bumbed… stanford feels right for me :(

for those who got rejected, what are your plans? where you guys applyin?

@neonseri: Yale’s amazing! I would love to go there, now that Stanford’s out of the picture.

I’m waiting on Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and Brown now…but I’m wondering, after this rejection, if I should set my sights lower. Oh well. I did apply to a state school and got into the Honors College there, so no matter what I’m still going somewhere.

yale is number 2 lol. . . NUMBER 1 now :P

plans: finish remainder of apps and try to find another college to fall in love with.

@redjar: Same here…

I still haven’t gotten anything!

I got in! congrats to those who were also accepted, and my condolences to those who were not

its more competitive this year I suppose because there are more applicants… thanks to the stupid CommonApp.

@chinatown: public schools are bad. as a matter of fact, i applied to UCLA and UC Berkeley. in case that i dont get to the ivys and other top school, im going to a good public school. education is great, plus, its much cheaper</p>

edit:
public schools arent bad*

@neonseri: Lol, did you mean that public schools are NOT that bad? :P

Yeah, it’s really what YOU make of the experience…I’ll make the most of it wherever I end up.

Yay for optimism! Haha.

And congrats to Xargon!

Anyone else who still hasn’t heard?

i still feel bumbed out… urghhh, its like a relationship. i personally fell inlove with Stanford, and the idea of going there… now, with my rejection, its like a slap on my face.

Stanford Dean: its not you, its us (and the other applicants)…

@chinatown: thats i meant. lol…
