ahh rolandic you took it from me! dang 60 second rule…

Aww I wanted 5000 too!! Haha its okay.
I can’t really stay up any longer. It’s about 10 PM here in FL. I mean, yeah, that’s not that late, but I like my sleep!

Good night everybody!

Yay! you guys got 5000, congrats

5005! haha just for the palindrome/symmetry :D

^Speaking of palindromes, today is 01/11/10! :D

And yay for getting to 5000, lol.

^ Wow! nice catch, haha

Nice, 5000 posts is pretty amazing.

I’m really sorry for the people I didn’t PM. I had to leave for a StuCo meeting and I was in the middle of sending out PMs to people. It’s so annoying that I can only PM 5 people at a time. I sent out messages in the order of number of posts in this thread. So yeah…it’s your own fault of you didn’t get a PM. This is essentially what it said:

Hi guys! I just wanted to encourage you to make it to 5000 on the Stanford SCEA thread. I know some of us were WRONGLY rejected, but I just wanted all of us to come back together for one last BANG. We currently are at 4980ish, and please just post one last thing in there. Let us know how you’re doing, regardless of your resent for Stanford. Honestly, the thread is about more than that. It’s about the friendships that we made and the amazing conversations that we had.

Remember the quote book? The list of conversation topics? WINNING YALE WARS?

Do it for those things, if not for Stanford.

Love,

Anonymous93.

Anyway.

WE MADE IT. But I wasn’t here for it
Oh well, it’s the thought that counts. We are the best early applicants ever. I will send out another mass PM when April 1st comes so we can all see who got in where and all of that. A little bit a nostalgia for all of us.

5000000000000
(5000)

I’m peacing from here guys.
I’ll be back on 4/1 to share decisions with you all. I just want you guys to know that no RD thread that I have been in has been near as epic as this thread.
BYE :(

damn… I am late… but again guys… where ever we go, we are the future of this world :p

YAY US!

Stanford lost a lot by not accepting us; we will get into good colleges anyhow… hehe

OMG
I MISSED IT
AHHHHHHHH UPSET.

(I agree sarbaraj, Stanford’s loss I’m sure :))

haven’t been on in awhile but good luck to everybody! I know I’m keeping my fingers crossed for Yale. … sigh. just had interview yesterday.

best of luck!

Jannuary 11, 2010

Applicants should read this update about the status of their application credentials.

We are asking Regular Decision and Transfer admission candidates to refrain from calling or e-mailing the Office of Undergraduate Admission to check the status of their application credentials. We have now received more than 32,000 applications for admission, a roughly 4-5% increase over what we received for last year’s freshman class.

Stanford has 5% more applications this year?? I thought it’d have less, since they extended the deadline, didn’t they? I thought it was like they didn’t have enough applicants, so they wanted to give people a little more time.

I thought so too. Maybe they really needed the application fees.

ewww 5% more??? I got deferred and was hoping to gain acceptance, now it sounds like i’m even more screwed. one of those 32,000 applicants is going to boot me out of my waiting spot :(

if my calculatiosn are correct; admissions rate should be about 6% this year

Yay SCEAers!

6%. . . . my brain hurts. when you really think about 6 out of every 100 people. … … jeez
