Hello,
I am an international student, and I’m interested in Stanford’s MA in Music Science and Technology program (at the CCRMA).

I completed the ToEFL iBT test with a score of 116/120, and I’m starting to study for the GRE test (I’m taking a course).

Now, my course teachers insist of me aiming on some kind of score, so I can define targets for myself, but unfortunately - I really don’t know where I should be aiming at.

I approached the music faculty at Stanford, and they say there’s no “required” score. I couldn’t find any statistics from previous years, except that the general average of graduate students at Stanford is 780Q 580V.

I’m very strong in math (my B.Sc major was mathematics), and English is not my native tongue, but I consider myself to be strong.

So - what do you guys say? What’s a score I should be aiming at?
