Ya know, as much as it sucks, getting rejected is a very humbling experience.

Hey people, Does getting a rejection from MIT mean that you chances at stanford are low? Or does an acceptance to Uchicago(Merit), Duke(merit), Grinnell and Upenn mean that your chances are excellent at Stanford?
I’m going to pass out whether I get accepted or not, so it’s all good lol. Like Stanford is make or break it, no going around that so I better just put on my big girl boots and get on the pony! I’m so excited and so scared at the same time! Cornell and Northwestern do not compare to Stanford in my book…because Stanford is the only place I truly want to go to! Ahh!!! Good luck to everyone <3

@AKAKHALEDBEST Your guess is as good as mine unfortunately. Obviously you are a really great candidate (congrats on your other acceptances btw). But it’s so hard to tell what each specific admission office wants from an applicant. Someone could be rejected from one school only to be accepted to another. But in any case, good luck to you on Friday!
@AKAKHALEDBEST I have also been accepted to Uchicago and denied from MIT. I can’t really add any input as far as chances but stanford is definitely my first choice!!! I would not say our chances are by any means excellent though unfortunately, as all three schools are quite different.
@emenya thanks! I’m sure you will get yours soon; and if not, you already have Vanderbilt and Rice in your pocket, which is a lot more than most can say lol
