@jasonkos Not at all, I only apply there because of my friends did However a rejection at MIT affected me deeply
Stanford really isn’t the school I want to go to but I still ended up applying because why not? But I’m not expecting much. It says they don’t take January sat scores so to them my SAT score is 1990. But I retook it in January and scored a 2210 so that’s a big FML moment but at least all the ivies I applied to will look at that score. But other than that all my other stats look good. 4.0 GPA. Valedictorian. Hold several officer positions. Started tutoring program at my school. Wonderful Rec letters (one is from a congressmen). Good subject test scores. Pretty decent essays. What do you guys think? Can I still get in?
^^I’m also taking all AP classes this year. Yes all! 8! I can’t wait until it’s all over

@fdizzle But they’re comparable in quality!! Also, when you’re only accepting 3% of applicants, it’s gonna be somewhat random no matter how meritocratic you try to make it… Therefore, the selectivity is kind of moot.
What in the world @keyboard18 You got into UChicago and Caltech lol. You’re way more qualified than me who got a straight up no from Chicago.
@fdizzle thanks but I really believe that admissions are so ridiculously subjective like you could be a five-time Grammy winner for all I know and still get rejected by Chicago

@jasonkos Hopefully, yes. What they said about the possibility that some of the decisions may not come out worries me though. Let’s all hope no server malfunction happens and we get the news (good or bad) today. I don’t think people will be able to tolerate an extra weekend of agony awaiting their decisions.
@AKAKHALEDBEST unfortunatley I think they pool all the international applicants and they don’t do it by country. Best of luck to you though!
