@collegec123 has the financial aid office responded yet?
It appears legacy per se must not be a huge weight on the scale (probably should not IMO). My D was certainly possible (admit OOS Cal, UCLA, some elite WL) me consistent but low $ donor for a few decades, applicant interviewer. She got WL. Great kid with somewhat lackadaisical approach to apps (totally OK with that), undeclared, no demonstrated interest anywhere. About what I expected, congrats to everybody, a great time and place with many fond memories; Springsteen, last Sex Pistols concert ever, Clapton, Pink Floyd, Tull, Jackson Browne.
@collegeasker12 They did not reply to email but just got them on the phone. No reason stated for why aid has not loaded (nothing missing from account). They just said some letters didn’t load and we have to wait for the letter in the mail.
I’m very pleased with the aid offered to my son. It takes a lot of pressure off. It still hasn’t sunk in that he was accepted though! He has been truly blessed with a wide range of acceptances, but this one rocked his world.
Do we have an official facebook page for Stanford admits?
Rejected. Not really a problem, I am terrified of earthquakes. Waiting on Ivy day. Good luck and congrats to all.
@lordofthedance1 Yes, search Stanford University Class of 2020.
I was accepted, but I find it hard to believe lol. Is there a possibility that they made a mistake when sending out the decisions?
I still haven’t been added to the Facebook group
@jetynz me neither and I requested to join on Friday, soon after I was admitted
What are the chances of getting into ivies if you get into Stanford?
@APersonsHistory i got a likely from columbia!
@GrapePocky Congrats! That must feel great!
Any1 know anything about the housing?
@LordBendtner i love your icon. Cara is bae
Princeton’s RD acceptance rate will be 3.94%. (1908-785)/(29313-785) Could be worse, but my goodness. Harvard’s RD acceptance rate using the same formula (1990-918)/(39044-918) is 2.81%
By the way the formula is the number of people admitted total last year minus the number accepted EA this year divided by the total applicant pool minus those already accepted.
By comparison Stanford’s was 3%, so somewhere in between but closer to Harvard’s. Good luck everyone! Ivy day is tomorrow.
has anyone’s request to join the FB group been approved? also has anyone gotten the acceptance package in the mail yet?
I haven’t been approved for the Facebook group yet :-S
“Is there a possibility that they made a mistake when sending out the decisions?”
Please don’t go there.
Lol I’m sorry for sounding so pessimistic but I just can’t help but assume the worst all the time
