***Stanford Class of 2020 Applicant Discussion***

@collegeasker12 mine is up, it has a link that opens a pdf

Was originally deferred with a 3.29 unweighted gpa, ended up being accepted with a 3.39 unweighted and 3.63 weighted with only a 33 act. Miracles do happen

Hey guys! Was differed in the regular decision, but I am looking forward to heering back in the reguler regular decision pool. Anyone else with a 2400 get differed?

@mwzf2016 that’s incredible. I had a 3.8 gpa, but only a 26 on the act…plus not a lot of extracurriculars and no leadership because I switched high schools a lot. CONGRATS!

OKAYYYY so I got waitlisted. What are the chances of getting in!? I’m freaking out. Can’t tell if this is good or bad.

Yeah so I read a lot of articles. Waitlisting means nothing. Rejection! That’s okay.

@collegec123 Mine says “no award letters to view” as well! Have you been able to solve the problem?

I’ve been struggling and frustrated since Friday to view the FA letter without success. But I can see it now after disabling several layers of pop-up ad blocker. The key here is several layers. I need to disable ad blocker on every page along the way, from the login page.

The letter has been there all along since the admission decision was announced. I can see it now. It is about 2X of the net price calculator estimation, but less than 1/2 of JHU. Very happy!

D got in without interview or any communication from the school prior to announcement. I thought her application went into a black hole.

@SteinerR What browser did you use to check the FA? Also, what do you mean by disabling several layers of pop-up ad blocker? I only see one place to disable one.

I’ve already tried 3 different browsers all with adblock disabled, and I can’t seem to figure out how it works :frowning:

I use Chrome. Let me describe the whole process. It might be redundant to you, but for the sake of clarity…

I had Ad Blocker installed on Chrome. When I got to the Log In page, I disable it. Enter the password stuff, get in the next page then I disable Ad Blocker on the new page again. Then I get to the next page, I disable Ad Blocker again. And so on.

It does not make any sense to me. But that is how I get to the letter.

Good luck.

@SteinerR Thanks for your help! It doesn’t seem to work for me as I even deleted Ad Blocker but I’m still getting the “No award letters to view”, so I might just call the office tomorrow!

First page is:
https://axess.sahr.stanford.edu/

Click “Log In”, go to “Sign In” page

Enter username & password, click “Login”, get to page with “Student” and “Star” tabs.

Under “Finance” on the left side click on link “View Financial Aid”, get to a new page.

Click on “To view a copy of your financial aid award letter, please click here”, get to new page which looks like:

"Click on the link provided to view award letters in PDF format.

View Financial Aid Award Letters
Aid Year Date Award Letter
2016-2017 03/25/2016 Award Letter"

Click on “Award Letter” and see it in all PDF glory.

Hope this helps.

guys, i can’t get into the award letter…

wait nvm i removed addblock thanks!!!

@SteinerR - We had the same experience. No interview, no contact, then boom admission! We were shocked!

@SteinerR Stanford does not consider demonstrated interest at all. Interviews are optional and not available everywhere. They don’t care/make note of whether or not you visit campus, etc. And, they don’t have to woo students. So compared to other places where demonstrated interest is necessary, I suppose it would seem black-hole-ish! Congrats!

Rejected.

@banana777 no luck. emailed financial aid office to get it resolved. Can log onto another student’s account and see their aid, so it is not a browser/pop up problem.

My daughter got in. We are so happy for her.
