Thanks @BStoney21. I hope they accept the maximum possible from here
$10 on being under 5%. Dunno how much under, though.
@CoralReef19 Has to do with the fact that Stanford gets a relatively large amount of super-reach applications.
I heard this year Stanford increased its class size. I wonder how that will affect the acceptance rate.
Last year, they accepted 3.9% regular decision. This year, almost all top school’s acceptance rates are lower than last. Probably 3.5%.
I hope we all get accepted and that we all meet and reminisce about the hours we spent panicking on CC
I bet on 0.4%
On the letter for deferred students, it said deferred students generally have a 15% chance
I haven’t seen people’s numbers on here be super reach… Ok 3.83 UW GPA, 4.4 W, 33 ACT here. For me Stanford is definitely reach, but I didn’t think crazy so…,
I wish I thought I would get in, but anyone that didn’t get a likely that thinks they will is honestly insane…I have crazy ec’s, a 5.2/5 GPA, and a 35 act. My counselor wrote in my red that I am “a renaissance student at my school. I am truly one of the top 5 students she has had in her 25 years at our school.” Yet, I doubt I get in. I’m ready for my 2nd rejection letter in an hour and a half. Good luck everyone!!! Just know, not everyone worthy of admission will get in. But believe me, some school will come through, I know some have for me.
@FullofHope2020 it’s a reach for everyone.
The moment you realize that being an international sucks b@@lls. I have really lost hope of stanford after being rejected by Duke and Vanderbilt. 2110 Sat, 4.7Gpa, 3.97Gpa. Definitely a reach tho.
Where did u not get in?
Read this while you wait, guys
@FullofHope2020 I have been accepted to William and Mary, Indiana into the ACE program (only 50 kids a year), UIUC as a James Scholar (I’m from Illinois, it’s my state school), Boston University in the honors program, and rejected at Northwestern. For NU, I applied in a major and wrote my essay on that major. Then switched it, and totally messed it up cuz of that essay lol
When you’re an unhooked Asian applying to Stanford and Ivies :))
Expect to be state school bound!!! Lol
Good luck everybody! Only an hour ago and I’m nervous as all hell. Not expecting anything but hoping for the best…miracles can sometimes happen lol
I really don’t think it’s that much of a disadvantage to be an “unhooked” Asian anymore…? Unless you count being a female in STEM a hook, it IS possible to get into schools with <10% acceptance rates as an unhooked Asian.
The decisions will be posted on the “Application Status” page, correct?
