I wonder what is the acceptance rate for International lol
@cheerleader16 Story of my life!!
I think that @cheerleader16 biggest hurdle is not being Asian, it is those subject test scores, 630 in Bio E?
Do you know how many hooked and unhooked applicants are applying with stellar Subject Test scores? Bet the farm that they are sending those scores to Stanford. This is an arm’s race and kids are pulling ALL the stops.
Do you think anyone who didn’t already receive a likely letter will be newly admitted tonight?
@EarlyAction2020 What’s a likely letter and what type of students get them?
Any idea how many likely letters they send out?
@kittymom1102 With a high SAT I score, and without sending SAT II’s when not required, is it possible to be admitted to an Ivy or school with similar selectivity?
@cheerleader16 if you really need to ask that than i’m sorry but your chances at stanford aint looking too hot
@mdorbust Not true, plenty of candidates are accepted without SAT II’s
It is possible, but you need to at least have a MAJOR HOOK to justify the suspicious absence of SAT Subject scores, especially when coming from highly competitive high schools.
Don’t fool yourself the OVERWHELMING majority of students applying to Stanford are sending everything, EVERYTHING. If you got it, flaunt it!
As I told you, this is an arm’s race and everyone is pulling ALL the stops. Universities are having a field day
Good luck!
How many minutes left?
55
54 minutes @Grapess
Correction. 54
Final countdown guys
well, at least I got into Rice, only about an hour to go until my fate at Stanford is decided
i just remembered i forgot to put in my app that i performed at carnegie hall AHAHHAHA omfg 10/10 ‘pulling all the stops’ @kittymom1102
@RoadtotheIvies98 Possible? Yes, for the same reason some people with low SAT test scores get in!!!
You need a MAJOR HOOK to make up for the suspicious absence of SAT Subject test scores, especially coming from highly regarded and well-known HS like @cheerleader16 attends.
@kittymom1102 well I guess when it comes to HS my school has 0 competition, everyone is applying to our in-state schools and no one has ever been accepted to HPYS (only 1 MIT)
@RoadtotheIvies98 That’s what I meant. I know it’s a bit hard for some people to wrap their heads around this convoluted concept, but “not required” means that you don’t HAVE to submit them.
