Stanford Class of 2021 Applicant Discussion

I see this thread is at high angst also. Well, wishing everyone, including me, good luck.

UCLA waitlisted, USC rejected, but somehow still praying for a miracle w Stanford, the best of the best

does anyone know if they send out any admitted mail? and when does that usually come?

I honestly think you guys should all just stop this speculation and just wait until Friday. It’s not even that far anymore…

Ooh. It seems interesting and I’ll believe it if someone calls and gets told they dont have a student ID.

@LindsayHarvard lol ikr i want someone to do it but i dont want to do it myself!

Where even is the ID(supposed to be) on the portal

@BLISHnr It is not on the portal at all.

Hi, I got deferred REA.
By what I understand, Stanford Id’s are made for every applicant, but are reused if you are rejected and are given student status if you are accepted. Your SUNetID is used for tracking purposes in the system (similar to a CAID) and are activated once decisions are determined. There are two clearance levels: sponsored (temporary access) and student, everyone else gets a pending status. In the documentation for an acceptance, there are ID activation instructions.
I am not sure this is true (it is cobbled up from online sources and speculation from current students), but I hope it helps.
here is a link I found from the IT department

hope it helps:)

Rejected from UCLA, accepted to USC, already okay with my eventual rejection to Stanford!

Has anyone called and found out they didn’t have an SUID?

Let’s just wait.

Everybody ready for some big, fat, juicy acceptance envelopes?

Out of curiosity, can everyone sign up for admitted student receptions? I highly doubt it means anything, but I just wanted to make sure https://admit.stanford.edu/receptions

@alexa2143: Oh no, not this again!

@alexa2143 You are able to sign up?

@frostedsprinkles Yeah, just using my application username/password – I didn’t really think anything of it though, especially based on other reactions hahaha. are you able to?

is your application username your email?

@alexa2143 Hi, I just need a bit of clarification - what did you mean when you said you were able to sign up using your “application username/password”? Were you referring to the email address and password you’d use to log into Stanford Applicant Portal? Thanks

[deleted] – sorry for any confusion, it didn’t ask me to re-enter my SUNet ID so I just assumed it needed the email/password
