Stanford Class of 2021 Applicant Discussion

Yes every one see this even those who hav not applied… lol :))

just realized i have a SUNet id from a summer program omg

(people who previously had SUNet IDs: can you still log in with them? reactivation might be a sign of acceptance, although mine hasn’t been. not sure if I’m remembering my ID properly, though.)

@scarletwitchx yes, mine still works – i doubt it means anything though, because i would think that you make a new SUNet ID if you’re accepted

  1. English 2. Cellular biology 3. Linguistics

How do I access my SUNet ID? I can login in to the regular portal page with my email and password but I don’t even have a Net ID. The only email I received was verifying my application was submitted and gave me a pin number to make my password.

@alexa2143 that’s true. Mine was deactivated a while ago.

@galaxy8 the only people I know who actually have one are affiliated with Stanford.

Does financial aid come out with decisions?

this week is the longest of my life already and its only Monday… how are you guys occupying ur time (trying not to think abt admission)?

  1. Engineering physics 2) Biomed computation 3) Chemistry

But I really want to look into chemical engineering

ChemE CS abd Economics

Also, is the decision date for STANFORD April 1, or March 30? Ppl on CC are saying march 30, but the website says April First

@sweatearl - March 31st at 4pm PDT

I thought it was 3 pm PDT?

They changed it @scarletwitchx

I called the IT department and they did not have me in their system. I think that I am rejected.

Oh man, can we really find out this why, now I’m sweating. @Javascript1

I think so.

Or they might be slowly adding everybody to the system so that the system does not crash because another guy found out that his id was created on Friday.

Dear all, please do not bother admissions office in this peak time. Initially, they helped some of you with SUNETid, but now I think they simply want to reject those requests, so if you do not get your id, do not assume you are rejected. Wait for few more days, and you would know whether you’d have a working SUNetID for lifetime. Calm your nerves and relax.

So close to decision date!!
Before it all happens, I want to take a step back and ask you guys a cliche question:
Why do you want to attend Stanford (or a school like it)? Any goals we/you should keep in mind no matter what happens March 31th? (sorry to sound like an essay prompt - just curious  )
