I was trying to keep the admissions release on the down low but apparently my parents already know they’re being released today and one of my friends asked out loud in the middle of class and now my whole IB class knows…
its kinda sad that over 90% of us are going to rejected in an hour and a half xD Good luck to y’all

Hey guys, I’ve been not posting for a while, but I’d like to think this entire experience has brought me to look inwards onto who I am as a person, and what’s I desire from life. I know Stanford isn’t the end of it all. I’ve got my whole life ahead of me, and Damn it if I’m not going to push forward regardless of what a room of 30 admissions officers think. I’ve become so much closer to my faith, and last night as I meditated and contemplated my goals and aspirations, I don’t think I’ve felt calmer in the last 4 years. Good luck everyone, may you receive all the blessings you desire.
I didn’t apply to Stanford, but their website says REA decisions are to be released on the 15th… just wanted to let you guys know…
thank you everyone in this thread for going through my rollercoaster of feels with me. i sincerely hope that each and every one of you gets good results, but sadly Stanford is soooo selective. Good luck everyone and thank you ;0

@ivyleaguedreamen their twitter announced the date to be today, at 3pm PST (it is never actually on the 15th for Stanford).

I have come to terms with the fact that many of you are more accomplished and deserving of an acceptance than myself. I wish you all the best - and just remember it’s only a college and life goes on. What’s right will happen… it’s destiny.
I’m signing off for now - I don’t want to stress myself out more than I have to. All of you have been awesome to talk to! You said 90% of us will get rejected but this is a pretty impressive group so let’s hope for something closer to 65-70%

Now, those who apply early could even be MORE qualified and ambitious and ready to go to Stanford
Now, the acceptance rate is 5%. That means out of 20 very very very qualified applicants, your one application has to stand out the most
