@rsmith0208 No one so far
@SinsOfAdmission I thought they didnât give interviews in CA? Are they conducting interviews for CA applicants this year?
@writernwriters and @SinsOfAdmission - According to the website, see below, especially the last sentence:
For 2016-17, the Office of Undergraduate Admission will operate the optional alumni interview program (based on the applicantâs high school location) in 51 domestic locations and 41 international locations as noted below.
Domestic:
Forty-nine states plus Puerto Rico and Washington D.C.
Anticipate expansion through California over several years beginning in the fall of 2017.
@yellohighlightr - Are you saying that you know people in CA that have had Stanford interviews? That would seem to contradict what they are saying on the website.
Interview this Sunday. Hoping it all goes well for meâŠ
@YoohooAddict Good luck!
@Mosper Thanks!!
Can all of you guys access the admission portal? I canât access it for some reason, even though I checked a couple weeks ago, and saw all my scores and stuff were sent in. I tried sending a new password, but it doesnât even recognize the email or birthdate, even though admissions sent me the information a while back? Lmao did they delete my account?
@misterstax I can access mine. Itâs probably a glitch or something.
@misterstax I can access mine fine, but I think itâs highly unlikely that they mightâve deleted your account. Or any account. It must be some sort of error in the system, as KiwiOz has suggested. Donât worry!
I just committed to University of Maryland (UMD). Good luck to everyone here! Hope you all get into your top schools and become significant figures later on in life! UMD Class of 2021 here I come!!!
@YoohooAddict Congratulations!
@writernwriters Thanks!
I recently found out Stanford requires sending both the ACT and the SAT if you have taken both. I sent my SAT I and IIs, but I took the ACT for state testing purposes last year and did not send that. I plan on calling them tomorrow, but will this negatively affect my application? I fully intend to send my ACT tomorrow, but I donât want it to look like I tried to hide or conceal something. For what itâs worth, my ACT was slightly lower than my SAT at 34, but I donât know if that matters.
@demonman24 I donât think they have anyway of knowing if you took the ACT or not. Besides Im pretty sure theyâre finished or nearly so with the apps.
So if I took 3 ACTâs and only sent 2 in, am I potentially in trouble? Or is there no way for them to know that? The one I didnât send was a 33 (highest 35) that i took sophomore year so hopefully that doesnât affect me
I think you should probably send it in, as well. They say they want your scores from every test date, but they only look at the highest one. I donât know if they can find out, but if they do that would mean bad things for your admission. I donât think they would penalize you for not having sent it earlier as long as you send it in now.
@demonman24 and @penguin17 - I would not â under any circumstances â hide test scores from them.
I would send an email stating that you committed an error and misunderstood the directions, neglecting to send in your ACT scores. I would self report the score and assure them that they will receive the official score report from the ACT.
If they were to find out that you were withholding scores, your acceptance could be rescinded. Not worth it.
@LoveTheBard I didnât intend to hide scores, I just didnât know about the policy until very recently. I recommended the other user to send absolutely all of their scores so as to not risk the consequences you mentioned.
Edit: Would you send the email to admissions@stanfordâŠ, or my regional rep, or maybe through the inquiry form under the Contact Us page?
My apologies, @demonman24 - I misspoke (or rather, misread and answered in haste, conflating several comments).
My post was meant for @penguin17 and @LindsayHarvard who seem to think itâs okay to play fast and loose with the rules.
Submit your scores to credentials@stanford.edu
Include name and DOB and if you have one a Stanford ID#
