Stanford Class of 2023 Discussion

@treebound8 I see the March 29th date: https://admission.stanford.edu/apply/deadlines/ Where did you find 4pm PST?

@ahling try this link: https://admission.stanford.edu/  Scroll down to the “News” section.

^ @ahling

No portal change for me: QB Scholar, Yale Young Global Scholar, AP Scholar with Honor, Presidential Scholar Candidate, NSDA Academic All-American, founder of a non-profit and philosophy academic journal, major is Philosophy. From an underrepresented school (hooks are first-gen, low-income [was evicted in September, essay discusses how I overcame through my love of literature]) 32 ACT, 4.64 GPA, 4.0 UW GPA, all 710+ SAT IIs, accepted to Princeton Early Action via QuestBridge… this seems so complicated, haha.

You and I are very similar @jordanheston, same major, same level of ECs, and first gen.

I think I heard that the portals of people with official scores didn’t change.

I personally sent in only my TOEFL (I’m international) officially and self reported my ACT and Subject Scores.

So that’s why maybe my portal didn’t change?

Ahhhh, but that doesn’t make sense because my ACT is still self reported…

I’m just stressed rn.

honestly like none of us are going to get in, so let’s all just chill out

I know this is getting old, but I just want to put my 2 cents in.

First of all, I want to say that I got a 1200 on the SAT, and my score didn’t change. I self reported as well. My Ec’s are mediocre compared with everyone else. If some of you guys think you got accepted because your portal didn’t change…lol.

That being said, I HIGHLY doubt the score change means anything. When decision day comes, people will get accepted that had a change or no change, so I hope that helped with these theories…

@TheBeyonder what do you think that means?

just got a date change (3/26)

Rejected at multiple T10s and T20s but had a 3/5/19 portal change. 34ACT 3.8. Decent ECs

@JohnFKennedy fully thought you were saying you got rejected from Stanford and I had a mini heart attack thinking decisions came out already (???) sleep deprivation…

Any other parents can’t wait until Friday? When DD has all the info, I am hoping she can make her decision, and feel confident about it. This has been the longest four months EVER!!! lol

@bella256 Haha, sorry!
Really hoping for an Ivy Day win…

Still no date change. Questbridge. accepted Comp Sci. UCSD full ride Chancellors scholarship, UCI honors, UCSC, USD Merit,… rejected Pomona, Caltech, Harvey Mudd. Not holding my breath for Friday. Besides EFC 0 , perfect scores and dbl grandparent legacy there is not a super star surprise in the app.

@17yeargap I can hardly wait until Saturday!! Yes my d19 has one more Saturday morning, 5 more schools to go. She is totally focused on UCLA…lining up roommates, planning visits. I keep telling her to just wait until you get the official rejections

@19parent Congrats on your daughter’s acceptance to UCLA!!! I know that she was excited about that school. Yay!

So would 3/5 kids probably be the ones that made committee but were then rejected?

I think another major date change was like 2/27 or something like that.

Anyone know anything about the 3/14 changes?

Can you guys wait like two more days instead trying to make up these theories?
