Not expecting much from Stanford as of now, got rejected from 12 colleges from IVY day… Thank God UVA got my back, otherwise I would have been so screwed by now. Anyway, best of luck for everyone applying this year! Remember: No matter where you end up, you will surely attand a great institution and you’ll do great in it. Peace out.
After the decisions are out, maybe the accepted and rejected ones can mention whether or not they had dates changed and to when. It might help the future applicants later
@blinkblink1
They WILL DEFINITELY fix this. At least for the next round applicants
I guess the future applicants are at loss, since they won’t have to rack their brains for any sort of conspiracy theories??♀️
That theory makes no sense because they could’ve made their decision later about students. Mine shows end of February so not rlly sure.
if my dates haven’t changed since the day i submitted it is that a bad sign?
@kachuang no it is not a bad sign. Anything can happen, all of these are only hypotheses.
My date has still not changed and I am convinced this has something to do with verification of SAT scores. My scores were sent direct to Stanford 90 days before I submitted my ap and the date on my portal reflects when they received those scores (3 days after they were sent by college board/act). It has not changed since. This does not mean acceptance or rejection.
I have been waitlisted at FOUR schools and got transfer option at Cornell. If I get waitlisted at Stanford I might throw something. The good news is I’m in at my first choice (Rice!!!) so I’ll be fine no matter what I get.
I don’t know if I can support the theory that change is equal to rejection because I don’t think they would have an answer for all the acceptances on the same day. If there was a rock star candidate and Stanford knew they would be accepted, I think Stanford would make their decision relatively quick. If there was a debatable candidate, they might make their decision later. I think the portal change will reflect this. (Also when they decide on rejections)
Although I think this, waitlists might be the ones with no change at all?
All speculation.
I self reported scores and my date changed to 3/2 and hasn’t changed since. These theories are all nonsense just wait for the decision lol
I self-reported my scores and the date changed to 03/01/2019 hopefully I am accepted to Stanford tomorrow by God’s grace!
My dates changed to 03/02/2019, and at this point I’m not speculating and getting my hopes up for no reason.
I did not receive email from the admission office stating the exact decision release date. I also checked their twitter and instagram accounts, but they did not post anything about the release date. YES, Stanford typically releases the admission decision on the last Friday in March, but I would like to ask if anyone hear from them.
Stanford is the last college I am waiting to hear from. When I receive the decision from Stanford, my college application process is over once and for all. Last night was not good night for me after five rejections and one wait list from the Ivies. You may ask yourself, why I am waiting for Stanford as my chance of admission is almost Zero. Miracles happen. RIGHT?
Today is the day: 4pm Pacific
4pm pacific time is 7am 30th march for me
@“Somali Boy” They posted an announcement on their admissions website rather than social media. It will be today at 4PM PST.
