Stanford Class of 2023 Discussion

International and not asking for aid. Date changed back to 2017 which was when I sent my first SAT.

@blinkblink1 Nearly a quarter of poll-takers on reddit said they had no portal change, while it’d be absurd to think that so many people would get in. This is all just pure, absurd speculation, so please don’t worry!

I know this is just a theory, but like my date says 3/3/19, and it has never changed since then. I have no idea what that means.

Alright so my portal changed to show the date Stanford received my first SAT (the April school day one which I sent to Stanford); however, I also self-reported a second SAT score from August (so a later SAT). I’m super anxious that this means that they did not acknowledge my second SAT on which I did way better.

Guys, please stop coming up with conflicting theories on SAT date vs decision outcome. This is driving me crazy…

Also - what’s the change that everyone is seeing? I just joined

Guys,
Describe yourselves in five words.

03/28 applicant here, best of luck everyone! Not sure why I’m optimistic after yesterday, just hoping for the best I suppose.

Mine changed to 3/19 a little over a week ago but I don’t think I have a chance of getting in. But the essays I wrote for Stanford were probably the best I wrote, so I am a little hopeful.

well I have no portal change and I just got rejected by every ivy (yup, all 8) and duke yesterday. I’m either going to UC Berkeley or Wellesley. So honestly I think the date-change theory is pure speculation… there’s no way that so many applicants with unchanged dates are getting in.

I don’t think that the date change automatically means that a person’s been accepted. It’s probable that at the end of the day, those who have gotten in will be made up of some who had no portal change and some who did. Just my 2 cents…

Am I the only one who has 3/27/19 for receiving my test scores? I submitted the ACT (self-reported actually), when I applied in December, so there is no way this date is accurate. After Ivy Day, hopes are not at all high.

Mine says 3/7/19

My portal now shows May 2018 for my SAT date - the date they received my first SAT. My second one was self-reported, so I don’t know what’s going on.

My S had a portal change from 12/3/18 to 3/4/19 - he submitted app on 12/1 with a music supplement. Did anyone submit a slideroom supplement?

I now suspect that the Reddit poster might know an insider who works at the admin office, say a student helper who noticed the bug. If this theory holds, then a date change on the time Stanford received the score is a sign of rejection.

@Dataminer what makes you say that he might know an insider?

My changed to 3/28. So is this a good sign?? Really wanting great news tonight:)

Ok there are way too many people whose date changed to 3/28. Definitely not a good sign. Sad.

People say the opposite, that those whose dates changed to the first time they received score have been accepted. @dataminer never heard of what you said. Not important. I think there is no need for further speculation as we are only 4.5 hours away from the release of the decisions.
