Stanford EA and CSS

DS applied EA to Stanford. We’ve crunched the numbers and he won’t qualify for need-based aid, so is there any reason to file the CSS Profile?

Some schools (don’t know if S is one of them) require you to file every year if in the future your financial situation changes and you are eligible.

Also, just from personal experience, two years ago, our official Profile EFC was higher than the COA for HYP, but all three still gave us FA (in grants & WS) of 10-15k/yr. At the same time, other schools with slightly lower endowments gave us zero FA. So although colleges all get the same Profile information, each school seems to use it in a somewhat different way. There have been other posters here on CC who have had very consistent FA awards from different colleges, so as always, YMMV.

I would put S in the HYP camp as far as FA generosity, so it might be worth the effort to fill out the forms.
