There are very different case existing. I don’t want to talk about it anymore. But it is true. Already most students and parents think so even non applicants. There was no reason to admit her because she isn’t very good player and isn’t excellent academically. Throughout our school history, academically excellent students got in except this year. So we guess. Dirty play. Also, our school isn’t prestigious to send several students to Stanford. Only one student get in ivy or Stanford, even usc and 5~6 in UCLA or UCB. The school history is very important.
Curious how many apps Stanford received for REA this year. Anyone have a sense? I thought I read somewhere that apps were likely up at Stanford bc they were down at Harvard…?
May I ask if your child can still view the checklist on the portal? If not, how can we know Stanford received midyear report or other transcript we sent in after the deferral decision? Thanks!
S24 received a nice, personal email from his admissions officer today. Wrote about specific things about my son that AO appreciated. Made son’s day!
My son (S24 - accepted REA) also got a nice customized letter from AO (both - postcard by mail and also email). Nice gesture by the AO. My other son (S22) didn’t receive a similar letter - he got in via RD though.
My student’s interviewer thought it was high, but no exact numbers.
