Stanford (Earned associates degree in high school)

<p>Chance me as an incoming freshman.</p>

<p>My numbers aren’t ridiculously high, but I took a RIGOROUS course load.</p>

<p>GPA unweighted: 3.75
(my GPA is decent, but I will have a couple C’s on my transcript)
ACT: Composite 30, English 34, Math 27, Reading 35, Science 25, Writing 9</p>

<p>I took 60+ credits of concurrent enrollment classes and will have earned my associates degree from the local state college by the time I graduate from high school. </p>

<p>I’d put you at a reach, since your scores and GPA could definitely be higher, but those college courses are looking great :)</p>

<p>I would call Stanford a high reach.
Reasoning:
The GPA might (most likely will) hurt depending on which classes you got the Cs in. Also, I wouldn’t say that your course schedule is especially rigorous because you seem to have taken mostly introductory college courses. Lastly, a 30 ACT is at the lower end of Stanford’s range. In my opinion, your ECs aren’t strong enough to make you stand out among an excellent applicant pool.
But in any case, I wish you luck.</p>

<p>I’d be applying as a philosophy major, so math isn’t in my future.</p>

<p>And the course load is the absolute toughest I have available to me, so my evaluations will be particularly high on that. The course load is rigorous because I took a full-time college schedule in addition to high school.</p>

<p>Also, concerning the philosophy major…</p>

<p>Will that make me stand out, as it has a very low applicant pool in relation to other majors?</p>

<p>Oh and the GPA includes the college courses.</p>
