I am considering physics teaching as a career. I want to be a GOOD physics teacher, so my physics teacher told me that the teaching proficiency of teachers of undergraduate classes and opportunities for undergraduates to teach are important factors to consider when choosing a college. How would you weight these two factors, and would you add any others? How important is research, so that I can speak with authority to my students about the process of research? How well does Stanford fit the bill? Thanks.
