<p>Call Stanford’s financial aid office and see whether they will increase your aid. They do it all the time for students who have a more competitive offer at another university.</p>
<p>What are you interested in studying? Do you want to be in an urban or suburban environment? Is sports important to you? Do you want to do research? Is weather important? What about housing?</p>
<p>I agree with Phantasmagoric that the calculus changes if you can alter the financial aid package.</p>
