<p>May anyone recommend a laptop and some general requirements. NO MACS (hate them). </p>
<p>I’m looking for a laptop that can perform all the basic student requirements, run photoshop well, and play vid-games @ max. Preferable resolution 1920X1200. </p>
<p>I’m currently looking at a Sager. Priced at a max of $1700, but preferably under $1500.</p>
<p>I “built” a great dell for just over $1200. 8gb RAM, intel stuff, pretty much all the best Dell offered. Not sure if you’re a Dell kind of person, but frankly it was an awesome PC for medium level computing (plus occasional high level computing). It was a Studio 15.</p>
<p>EDIT: I was just looking at what I could get for my budget, I didn’t actually purchase it.</p>
<p>Just curious, why do you hate Macs? Macbook Pros are well within your price range, perform very well, and can run Windows natively. Plus, you can get an educational discount of $200.</p>
<p>Play video games at max? Get that new 15 inch Alienware.</p>
